iBulk is a leading engineering firm that specialises in the bulk solid processing industry and in fine particle separation and processing. Established in November 2005 following the acquisition of an entity from an Australian corporate, iBulk inherited an accounting package that was unable to meet the company’s specific needs.
Due to the nature of its business, iBulk has a continual need to sort and access large quantities of data. Using its existing accounting solution, the company was continually taking its job costing reports through a complicated process in Microsoft Excel to sort through reams of data and locate specific information.
The inherited package was not user friendly and demanded high support times and costs. As a result, iBulk dedicated many hours and resources to accurately finalise financial reports, preventing the company from maximising its position as a market leader.
Following a review of processes, iBulk realised the need to implement an easy-to-use package with bespoke reporting, accounting, job costing and inventory functions that all staff could use with minimal support and training.
iBulk selected Sybiz as its partner to improve its reporting, accounting, job costing and inventory processes. iBulk chose to implement the Sybiz Vision software suite, which included Sybiz Vision Job Costing and Sybiz Business Intelligence Centre (BIC), to respond to its challenges.
The package, sold through one of Sybiz’s business partners, Visionaries, is the flagship of the Sybiz product range. It is a sophisticated business software suite tailored for SMEs and provides benefits across all industry segments. Dynamic and adaptable, Sybiz Vision is well known for its outstanding user friendliness and offers a depth of functionality which can be further enhanced with add-on modules from Sybiz and third party developers.
iBulk uses Sybiz Vision’s Job Costing module to record, analyse and manage its jobs from the initial quotation right through to completion and invoicing.
Sybiz Vision’s BIC module, which incorporates key components from Alchemex, an international company specialising in Business Intelligence for SMEs, provides iBulk with instant access to ‘live’ information. It also retains report formats and makes them available for future use. With Sybiz Vision BIC iBulk can generate spreadsheets by simply extracting Sybiz Vision accounting data and converting it to an easy-to-read format.

iBulk are using Sybiz Vision to re-organise work dating back to the formation of the company and can now provide a full set of accurate and balanced financial reports on demand.
In addition to financial reporting, iBulk has also implemented reporting from job costing which has assisted the company to understand its manufacturing costs.
