Sybiz has been alerting all our customers to an upcoming change from Microsoft that may impact email functionality within your Sybiz solution.
Microsoft has announced they will
delay this change until the second half of 2021. However this incompatibility will be still addressed from Sybiz Vision version 20.11 and Sybiz Visipay version 20.10, slated for release in early October 2020.
Basic Authentication will still continue to be available for all exising users in these new versions from Sybiz until Microsoft have implemented their changes.
If you are
using Office 365 as your email type for Sybiz Vision or Sybiz Visipay, we still recommend contacting your Authorised Business Partner to discuss upgrading.
If you are not using Office 365 as shown in the instructions below or are using
Sybiz Vision Classic, you do not need to take any action.
Checking this will
only take a few seconds and could potentially save you from significant disruption when the change is introduced next year.
How to check which email protocol you use
Not sure what email protocol you are using with Sybiz Vision and Sybiz Visipay? You can confirm this quickly and easily within your Sybiz solution.
Open the menu from the icon on the top left.
Then click the Options button.
And from the left menu, select Email Options.
Those affected will see Office 365 as their Email Type, as in the example below.
