JobKeeper extension 2 ending 28 March

JobKeeper extension 2 ending 28 March Although it has been a salvation for many businesses over the last year, the second JobKeeper payment extension provided by the Australian Government is due to end on 28 March 2021.

While it has been made clear that the JobKeeper scheme will not be extended, there are several other initiatives already in place or being proposed, such as the JobMaker Hiring Credit, which aims to aid businesses in employing new staff and reduce the unemployment rate of younger Australians.

If you are continuing JobKeeper until the end of the final extension period, there is nothing you need to do to exit the program.

Businesses are still required to complete monthly declarations between day 1 and 14 of each month to claim payments for the previous month, however JOBKEEPER-FINISH-FNXX allowances for your employees do not need to be processed at the conclusion of the scheme.
